Welcome

Agrivoltaics is the systematic integration of solar panels with food production that helps achieve multiple goals including efficient land use, improved crop yield and reduced on-farm water usage.

Our vision of community agrivoltaics is focused on researching, testing and sharing the most appropriate design options to support communities in navigating the near and long term future of food and energy production.

About Us

Community agrivoltaics research is a working group of Salt Spring Community Energy (SSCE).

We acknowledge that the land on which we are situated is within the traditional and unceded territory of the Cowichan, BOḰ EĆEN, Halalt, MÁLEXEL, Penelakut, STÁUTW, Stz'uminus, WJOLELP, and WSIKEM peoples.

We are open to local, regional, and international collaboration and eager to engage with all who are genuinely interested in the work described. Contact us via e-mail at this address.
